Forge Brand Identity

Brief:

Forge, a start-up, Kiwi grooming brand required a brand identity for their new product range. This included packaging collateral that would suit the brand's raw, witty and unconventional personality. The challenge was to take Forge's consumers back to their youth in a fearless way.

Solution:

After some research our solution was to create monster characters relating to each of Forge's grooming products. The monsters are both witty and rough, aspects that relate to Forge's personality. However, they also allow the audience to connect with their inner child through illustrated humour. These monsters are also unique in colour and tone to differentiate Forge from its many dark, hipster, vintage competitors.

This project won the AUT Communication Design Branding & Advertising Award in 2018
