Doruri Logo Redesign
Brief:
Doruri, a family-run Korean restaurant located in Auckland, New Zealand, initially catered to a Korean clientele. However, they recognised the potential to expand their customer base and introduce Korean cuisine to the wider community in Auckland. To achieve this goal, they sought the services of our agency to revamp their brand image while preserving their authentic Korean heritage.
Solution:
As a result, I created three different logo concepts that aligned with the needs and values of Doruri. The first concept represented the traditional Korean meaning of Doruri, which is to share food with a diverse group of people. This logo features a round table with a variety of colours, symbolising the diversity of people sharing a meal. The second concept was influenced by the contemporary colours and aesthetics of Korean pop culture, which has gained popularity in Auckland. Finally, the third concept drew inspiration from traditional Korean heritage, incorporating Doruri in Korean characters, Korean symbols, and a rich red hue that is emblematic of Korean culture.
