Brief:

Spark is a major telecommunications company that provides New Zealanders with internet and telephone services as well as a mobile network. As a socially responsible brand, they wished to transform into a more environmentally friendly business, starting with their packaging.

 

Solution:

Working with the team at 3Sixty Brand Solutions, we designed a sturdy, recyclable paper bag for stores to package their products when giving them away to customers. The design followed a phone shaped handle in which many trials were undertaken to ensure the size of the handle would fit consumers hands whilst also allowing for a firm grip.  The logo artwork, as well as environmentally-friendly icons, were designed and implemented using non-toxic vegetable inks to further enforce Spark's ecological stance. The bags coincide with Spark's four distinct colours; purple, pink, orange and green and contain inserts with their slogan "It's what's inside that counts". After the success of these bags, we proposed to extend this clean, green approach with a recyclable courier box for Spark products that were purchased online.
