Field Homes
Brand Guidelines
Brief:
Field Homes approached me when they were just starting to create their visual brand identity. As a New Zealand-owned and operated Registered Master Builder, they wanted a brand that felt modern, trustworthy and transparent, while remaining authentic, sustainable and quality-driven. The identity was designed to connect with young professionals, first home buyers and growing families in their late 20s to early 40s who value well-built homes and long-term quality.
Solution:
The Field Homes visual identity was developed through research-led inspiration grounded in the brand’s core characteristics and target audience. Drawing on Field Homes’ values of reliability, quality, sustainability and modern living, the logo was designed to reflect both a design and build company and a property developer. The clean, minimal structure responds to contemporary design trends, appealing to modern buyers, while the balanced proportions and serif typeface introduce a sense of timelessness that bridges tradition and innovation. The strong, structured forms of the ‘F’ and ‘H’ reference architectural foundations, reinforcing stability, craftsmanship and long-term quality. A deep green paired with earthy brown tones was chosen to reflect growth, nature and environmental responsibility, aligning with Field Homes’ commitment to sustainable and considered development.
